Flight Sergeant Hyman Sydney Benjamin, who served as Sydney Benjamin, was an English airman of the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve who died during the Second World War.

He was born on 10 July 1922, in Marylebone, the son of Samuel and Milly Benjamin (née Woolf). Benjamin served with 41 Squadron from August 1942 until transferring in December to 1435 Squadron, which was based in Malta.[1]

Benjamin died on 12 July 1943, when his Supermarine Spitfire was lost while supporting the Allied invasion of Sicily.

He is buried in Syracuse War Cemetery.
