Private Sidney Leopold Abse was a Welsh soldier of the British Army who died during the Second World War.

He was born in 1920, in Cardiff, the son of Arnold and Cissie Abse (née Schatz), later of Birmingham.

Aged 19, Abse died on 21 May 1940, during the Battle of France while serving with the Royal Army Medical Corps.

He is buried in Dieppe Canadian War Cemetery, Hautot-sur-Mer.
