Samuel Ginsberg

Private Samuel Ginsberg was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.

He was born in 1892, in Leeds, the son of Samuel, a travelling draper, and Sarah Ginsberg (née Leviy), of Sheffield and Leeds, respectively.

Ginsberg died on 2 August 1916, during the Somme Offensive, while serving with the 22nd (Service) Battalion (Kensington), The Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment).

He has no known grave and is commemorated by the Thiepval Memorial.
