Lieutenant Rudolph Marcus Leveson was an English officer of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born in 1896, at Manchester, the son of Henry, a maker of invalids' chairs, and his wife Elizabeth Leveson (née Benjamin), of Manchester and Melbourne, Australia, respectively. At the time of the 1911 census, the younger Leveson had followed into his father's business and was living with his family at 16 Lancaster Gate Terrace, Paddington.
Leveson died on 18 December 1917, on the Western Front, when he was shot by a sniper near Passchendaele. He had been seriving with the 10th (Service) Battalion, The Durham Light Infantry.[1]
He has no known grave and is commemorated by the Tyne Cot Memorial.
