Private Reuben Hyman was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born in Longton, the son of tailor Wolfe and Betsy Hyman, of Poland and Germany, respectively. At the time of the 1911 census, the younger Hyman was working with his father while living with his family at 2 Tavistock Place, Sunderland.
Aged 28, Hyman died on 30 March 1917, on the Western Front, while serving with the 8th (Service) Battalion, The East Yorkshire Regiment. He had formerly belonged to the Royal Field Artillery.
He is buried in Faubourg D'Amiens Cemetery, Arras.
