Flight Sergeant Paul Leopold Rakoczy was an American airman of the Royal Canadian Air Force who died during the Second World War.
He was born on 2 July 1920, in Oho, the son of Polish-born parents John and Caroline Rakoczy.
Rakoczy, serving as a navigator in 10 Squadron RAF, died on 29 June 1943, when his Handley Page Halifax (DT783) was shot down by a German night-fighter, six kilometres north of Eindhoven, while on an operation against the city of Cologne.[1]
He is buried in Woensel General Cemetery, Eindhoven.
