Flight Lieutenant Max Raymond Norem was an English officer of the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve who died during the Second World War.

He was born in 1922, in Bucklow, the son of Norwegian-born Nils Severin and Freda Helen Norem (née Seige).

Norem, a pilot with 103 Squadron, died on 6 March 1945, when his Avro Lancaster (serial PB563) was lost with its crew of eight while engaged on an operation against Chemnitz.[1]

He is buried in Berlin 1939-1945 War Cemetery.
