Trooper Leslie Elhanan Schalit was a soldier of the British Army who died during the Second World War.
He was born in Dundee, Scotland, the son of Dr. Maximillian, born in Rishon Le Zion (then part of the Ottoman Empire, now Israel), and Lithuanian-born Rae Schalit.
Aged 19, Schalit died on 23 February 1944, during the Italian Campaign, while serving with the 1st Reconnaissance Regiment, Reconaissance Corps.
He is buried in Arezzo War Cemetery.
