Private Lazarus Cohen, who served as Leslie Cowan, was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.

He was born in Liverpool, the son of Russian-born parents Barnett, a tailor by trade, and Bessie Cohen.

Aged 21, Cohen died on 27 March 1916, of wounds received on the Western Front, while serving with the 14th (Service) Battalion, The King's (Liverpool Regiment).

He is buried in Boulogne Eastern Cemetery.
