Private Joseph Moskowitz was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the Second World War.
He was born in 1909, in Bethnal Green, the son of Michael, a cabinet maker and dealer in iron mongery, and Jane Moskowitz, of Russia and Austria, respectively.
Moskowitz died on 12 May 1944, during the Battle of Monte Cassino, while serving with the the 2nd Battalion, The Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Regiment in the Italian Campaign. He had married, in 1934, to Lily Crisford.
He is buried in Cassino War Cemetery.
