Company Quartermaster Serjeant Giovanni ("John") Zottarelli was a Scottish soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born at St. Giles, the son of Italian-born professional harpist Donato and Barbara Zottarelli, of Edinburgh.
Zottarelli enlisted in June 1911, with the Royal Scots, and served in the Gallipoli Campaign of 1915. Aged 27, Zottarelli died on 28 August 1917, on the Western Front, while serving with the 239th Company, Machine Gun Corps (Infantry).
He is buried in Menin Road South Military Cemetery.
