Private James ("Jimmy") Capaldi was an English soldier of the British Army who was killed during the First World War.

He was born in 1895, in Ormskirk, the son of Italian-born ice cream vendor Nicholas (Nicola) and Mary Agnes Capaldi (née Flynn), of Liverpool.

Capaldi died on 3 May 1915, of wounds received on the Western Front, while serving with the 1/9th Battalion, The King's (Liverpool Regiment).

He is buried in Chocques Military Cemetery, Pas-de-Calais.
