Gunner James Cairon, born Luigi James Caironi, was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born in 1894, in Holborn, the son of Italian-born Luigi, in 1911 a glass silverer by profession, and Jane Martha Caironi (née Batt). At the time of the 1911 Census, Caironi was working as a porter at a stationary warehouse while living with his family at 98 Chadworth Buildings, Lever Street.
Cairon died on 12 April 1915, in England, of wounds received on the Western Front. He had belonged to the 23rd Reserve Battery, Royal Field Artillery.
He is commemorated at the Islington Cemetery and Crematorium.
