Private Jacob Nacowitz was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born in Whitechapel, the son of Polish-born tailor Abraham and Dinah Nacowitz (née Chapman).
Aged 20, Nacowitz died on 16 August 1917, during the Third Battle of Ypres, while serving on the Western Front with the 1/4th Battalion, The Royal Berkshire Regiment.
He is buried in New Irish Farm Cemetery.
