Private Heinrich Goldschmidt, who used the nom de guerre "Henry O. Garnett", was an Austrian-born soldier of the British Army who died during the Second World War.

He was born on 9 December 1908, in Moravská Ostrava (then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire), the son of Hugo and Wanda Goldschmidt, of Brno and Racibórz, respectively.[1]

Under the name of Garnett, he enlisted in the British Army, and died on 8 October 1944 while serving in Italy with the 1/4th Battalion, The Hampshire Regiment.

Goldschmidt, who was married to Hedwig, is buried in Assisi War Cemetery.
