Assistant Cook Francesco Spiteri was a Maltese sailor of the Royal Navy who was killed during the Second World War.

He was born in Malta, the son of Joseph and Victoria Spiteri. He died on 8 June 1940 when the aircraft HMS Glorious was sunk in battle with the German battleships Scharnhorst and Gneisenau, off Norway. Spiteri, aged 27, was one of more than 1,200 killed.

Spiteri, who married Carmela, has no known grave and is commemorated by the Plymouth Naval Memorial.
