Myer Tompofski

Rifleman Myer Tompofski, MM was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.

He was born in 1892, at Leeds, the son of Russian-born parents Hyman, a tailor presser, and Annie Tompofski. At the time of the 1911 census, the younger Tompofski was working as a tailor's machinist while living with his family at 55 St Luke Street.

Tompofski died on 27 September 1918, during the Allied Hundred Days Offensive, while serving on the Western Front with the 1/8th (Leeds Rifles) Battalion, The Prince of Wales's Own (West Yorkshire Regiment).

He is buried in Flesquieres Hill British Cemetery.
