Private Chaim Sternheim was a soldier of the British Army who died during the Second World War.
He was born in Poland, the son of Mendel and Scheindel Sternheim. His parents were murdered during the Holocaust.[1]
Aged 32, Sternheim died on 15 February 1945 while serving in the Burma Campaign with the 9th Battalion, The Royal Sussex Regiment.
He has no known grave and is commemorated by the Rangoon Memorial.
