Rifleman Alexander Jacob Lion was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.

He was born in Islington, the son of boot manufacturer Jacob and Rachel Lion (née Phillips), both of London. At the time of the 1911 Census, Lion was manufacturing leather goods while living with his family at 26 Woodberry Grove, Manor House.

Aged 27, Lion died on 24 June 1915, on the Western Front, while serving with the 9th (Service) Battalion, The Prince Consort's Own (Rifle Brigade). He had enlisted in 1914.

He has no known grave and is commemorated by the Menin Gate Memorial.
