Private Albartus Degens was a Dutch soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.

He was born in Arnhem, the son of Albartus and Maria Catherina Degens (née Inklaar), both local to the area.[1] At the time of the 1911 Census, Degens was working as a barber while living with his wife, Helen Gray, and three children at 77 Talbot Road, Isleworth.

Aged 33, Degens died on 16 April 1917, on the Western Front, while serving with the 24th (Service) Battalion (2nd Sportsman's), The Royal Fusiliers (City of London Regiment).

He is buried in Aubingy Communal Cemetery Extension.
