Private Abraham Zimmerman was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born in London, in 1896, the son of Russian and Polish-born parents Lazarus and Annie Zimmerman. At the time of the 1911 census, Zimmerman was working as a tailor machiner while living with his family at 5 Cross Street, Weston-super-Mare, Somerset.
Zimmerman died on 21 October 1914, during the First Battle of Ypres, while serving with the 2nd Battalion, The Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry on the Western Front.
He is buried in Poelcapelle British Cemetery, Belgium.
